Images from Chatsworth House, Derbyshire, UK.

Chatsworth House is a stately home in Derbyshire, England, in the Derbyshire Dales 3.5 miles (5.6 km) northeast of Bakewell and 9 miles (14 km) west of Chesterfield (SK260700). The seat of the Duke of Devonshire, it has been home to the Cavendish family since 1549.

Standing on the east bank of the River Derwent, Chatsworth looks across to the low hills that divide the Derwent and Wye valleys. The house, set in expansive parkland and backed by wooded, rocky hills rising to heather moorland, contains an important collection of paintings, furniture, Old Master drawings, neoclassical sculptures, books and other artefacts. Chatsworth has been selected as the United Kingdom's favourite country house several times.

- by erosion exposed layers of sandstone under an overhanging rock, South Sinai, seen on a hike with Bedouins through the rocky desert. The "sandstone art" is about 1 meter wide and three-dimensional, not flat .

- durch Erosion freigelegte Schichten aus Sandstein unter einem überhängenden Felsen, Süd-Sinai, gesehen auf einer Wanderung mit Beduinen durch die Felswüste. Das Felsbild ist ca. 1 Meter breit und dreidimensional, nicht flächig.

This is "Taro's Smile" dedicated to Taro Okamoto.

Taro Okamoto (1911 - 1996) is the great artist, and my hero.

I am loving his works very much from my childhood.

He was a member of the secret society of Avant-garde, called "Contre-Attaque" with Georges Bataille, Andre Breton in 1930s Paris.

He invited me to his atelier and home 1991.

We were discussing art at length.

The experience has obviously played an important part in both my life and my work.

And I love his smile.

Canvas is 0.5m x 0.35m and time to paint was about 30 hours.

More of an experiment this. I had toyed with the idea of painting 4 or 5 in different bold colours and displaying them next to each other 'Andy Warhol' stylie.
