This is a new rose for me this year. Taken in late afternoon with a soft single light placed high and a white card for fill.
Post in ON1. No texture.
Then a new year has started, and I am also finally back after almost 4 weeks in Oslo.
I brought an Android phone, which failed me with access to Flickr and the internet. I sincerely apologize for not being able to respond the way I like, and that I was able to delete both the Christmas greeting and two winter photos several had commented on. Well, that's the tech life. 🤔
Yesterday I went home in a fairytale landscape. The sun rose in the valleys and welcomed the fresh snow in pastel colors. Today it is raining here in the south. Now I will enjoy all the comments and enjoy many pictures I have not seen from my good Flickr friends. Wish you all the best this week.💖😊

Bought a new tripod in February, the best part of a £100 only to find out today that the weight hook is missing!!!! The Tripod could not stand up in a light breeze never mind a gale force wind like there was today.
My good lady wife held the tripod while I took the picture, she did a grand job. Great news on the tripod, I contacted the seller and he gave me a full refund and he didn’t what it back!

The New Jerusalem Monastery is one of the most famous and revered monasteries of the central part of Russia, the main feature of which is that the Resurrection Cathedral located here was built in the image and likeness of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher on Calvary in Jerusalem, although the outer monasteries are completely different from each other.
In the Resurrection Cathedral, as in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem, there are three main shrines of Christians:
Golgotha is a small rock where Christ was crucified (in Greek the word "Golgotha" means a frontal place)
Cuvuclia - a small chapel with the Holy Sepulcher, the burial place of Christ
Temple of the Resurrection of the Savior, the place of the life-giving resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Golgotha, the place of the crucifixion of Christ, is located on the second tier of the temple; a staircase to the right of the main entrance leads to it. In a small room, a cross was installed, made in Jerusalem and the same size as the Jerusalem Cross of God. Also here is a stone with a crack imitating a rock that broke at the time of the Savior’s death, when the blood of Christ was shed on it.
On the west side, a rotunda was attached to the temple with a huge two-tier dome, in the center of which was built a cavern, that is, a chapel with the Holy Sepulcher. Here is a bed on which the body of Christ was placed in a cave on the side of Mount Calvary.
In the temple next to the entrance is the Stone of Anointing, to which the Savior’s body was transferred, when it was removed from the cross, here he was anointed with peace (fragrant oil) and prepared for burial.
In the New Jerusalem Monastery, as in Jerusalem, the entrance to the temple is located on the south side. In the eastern part is the underground church of Saints Constantine and Helena, located at a depth of six meters. The legend has been preserved that it was at such a depth that Queen Helen found the Life-giving Cross. The Israeli temple of Constantine and Helen carved into the rock.

This Limpkin is trying a new tactic while trying to catch its favorite fast moving and elusive food, the Apple Snail. Instead of spending all of that energy wading around snatching them from the aquatic vegetation they feed on, this limpkin decided to perch on the dock and wave at the snails hoping to convince them that it was just a friendly bird, and to come on up and join it.
This tactic did not seem to work so the limpkin decided to just chill out and scratch its head and preen for a while. I left it doing just that.
Limpkins are named after the way they walk and sound.
These leggy birds seem to limp as they walk across uneven wetland surfaces — hence the name limpkins.
In English, the limpkin is also called crying bird. In other languages, they are sometimes named after their call, like carau and guareao.
Florida is the northern edge of their range.
Limpkins live in wetlands in a great deal of Central and South America east of the Andes, the Caribbean, and parts of Mexico and Florida.
They are mostly year-round residents, in Florida with local movements but no long migrations. They have been reported recently in Georgia and Louisiana, indicating their range may be expanding.
Limpkins are a one-species bird family.
Limpkins are the only living species in their family, Aramidae. They can look like rails, Rallidae family, or cranes, Gruidae family, but DNA testing has supported that they are a unique family.
There are fossil records for other birds in the Aramidae family that lived in the Americas during the Miocene, 23 to 5.3 million years ago. And there are some fossils not yet classified that could belong to this family that date to the Oligocene, around 33 million years ago.
Limpkins eat snails.
They mostly eat apple snails, but sometimes eat other aquatic mollusks. They’ve also been known to eat insects, frogs, lizards or worms if that’s all they can find.

I remember at the time of my visit that it felt rather odd to compose an image of Midtown Manhattan in which the Empire State Building wasn't really the main focus or the dominant structure in the composition, as it has been for the decades. Today, it is now one of several, colossal figures adorning the Midtown cityscape.

Growing up, I always thought Superman and Batman served the same city. As a result, I wondered why Superman's city was Metropolis and Batman's city was Gotham when they were often portrayed as the same place -- New York City.
Nowadays, the portrayals are clearer that they are two different places in different geographical locations altogether. Nevertheless, is there any superhero comic franchise that does not include or portray New York in some way?

New Hair textures!!!

Hope you are all fine!
Recent months, WM S-Club and me work on the new creation of hair textures. We have proposed many improvements based on our old hair textures. It took us a few months, and now we have achieved certain results, we are very happy to share them with you^^
1.We added a sense of frizz to the textures, to let it more close the naturl hairs look, and adjusted light, shadow and colors.
2.Plan the position of each hair part, make them more reasonable.
3. For the alpha channel, that is a very big work! we need to do them little by little to have the better results.
