The River Suir Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge over the River Suir in Ireland. The 230 metre main span has the longest single bridge span in the Republic of Ireland.

This is another shot I took at Notre Dame, Paris! I was there during blue hour and waited some time for this shot! I was blessed to have a boat passing by just as I was about to take the first light. My photography hobby has been motivating me to get up early. Kinda enjoy it. Hope you are enjoying your journey as well. :)

I wish you all a wonderful year 2017 and all your wishes come true!

If you are a little off the known paths of Rothenburg, you get outside the city walls into the valley where the River Tauber flows. Here stands this beautiful medieval bridge and next to it an enchanting half-timbered house.

From Unesco site:

The historic town of Mostar, spanning a deep valley of the Neretva River, developed in the 15th and 16th centuries as an Ottoman frontier town and during the Austro-Hungarian period in the 19th and 20th centuries. Mostar has long been known for its old Turkish houses and Old Bridge, Stari Most, after which it is named. In the 1990s conflict, however, most of the historic town and the Old Bridge, designed by the renowned architect Sinan, was destroyed. The Old Bridge was recently rebuilt and many of the edifices in the Old Town have been restored or rebuilt with the contribution of an international scientific committee established by UNESCO. The Old Bridge area, with its pre-Ottoman, eastern Ottoman, Mediterranean and western European architectural features, is an outstanding example of a multicultural urban settlement. The reconstructed Old Bridge and Old City of Mostar is a symbol of reconciliation, international co-operation and of the coexistence of diverse cultural, ethnic and religious communities.

Many thanks to everyone for your visit, comments and faves! Much appreciated! 😊

Have a nice day!

Looking NW at Mt. Wilbur, the Ptarmigan Wall, Mt. Henkel and Altyn Peak rising above Swiftcurrent Lake and the Many Glacier Hotel. Great place to be.

Thanks for taking a look. Always appreciated.

At an elevation of 4,629 feet, Max Patch boasts a 360-degree view of the Appalachian Mountains including the Blue Ridge and the Smokies.

The famous Appalachian National Scenic Trail (or A.T.) on top of Max Patch Mountain near Hot Springs. It was cleared and used as pasture in the 1800s. Today, it's a 350-acre tract of open land on a high knob with 360-degree views. On a clear day, you can see from Mt. Mitchell on the east to the Great Smoky Mountains on the south. Max Patch is part of the Pisgah National Forest.

Taken last summer in Grand Teton National Park

A toward-evening shot with unhelpful dark wing shadows ...but I wanted to show this scene of the very large fish which the osprey had caught, not to be shared with anyone it seemed!

Ospreys (sea eagles) inhabit all areas of the world except Antarctica and nest anywhere close to water and an abundant food supply, mostly fish. Interestingly, they, like owls, have reversible outer toes which allow them to grasp their prey with two toes in front and two behind....hence the tight hold you see...and he sat on this branch a very long time. (I think he was trying to figure out how to maneuver this fish in the air.)

Bidding you all a very good weekend wherever/whatever you may be doing, flickr friends....thank you for your visit.....Pat...xo

*****

It is hot, hot here...early morning walk...encapsulated in A/C at the moment watching Euro knockout soccer....

But I will never complain about our heat as summer is so short.

This was one of the few restaurants outside our hotel. Their specialties were seafood dishes, fresh, spicy, tasty.

Sigo deambulando…

All good things must come to an end. The sad moment of the end of my holiday is here.

This little waterfall is in Maspie Den just outside the picturesque village of Falkland in Fife, Scotland.

This is a 6 minute exposure with a Lee Big Stopper as it was pretty dark in there any way, but not dark enough to give the water the soft quality that I wanted.
